Masala Chai Tea

 3/4 cup water
 2-4 smashed G-Fresh Cardamom Pods (Whole)
 1-2 thin slices of fresh ginger
 1 G-Fresh Cinnamon Stick
 1 piece G-Fresh Star Anise
 3/4 cup milk (either cow/coconut/almond/soy)
 1 & 1/2 tsp of loose black tea leaves
 Honey to taste

In a small saucepan, combine water, G-Fresh Cardamom, fresh ginger, G-Fresh Cinnamon Stick and G-Fresh Star Anise.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then lower heat and simmer for a few minutes (until mixture is fragrant).

Add your milk of choice and tea leaves, and simmer for another minute. Then turn off heat and let it steep for 2 more minutes.

Pour into a cup (through a fine mesh sieve). Discard the leaves and spices. Add sweetener, to taste.
